Hello all. Happy new year !
I explain my subject (sorry if the question has been already posted/replied but I do not see any search form here)
So I wanted to do it the easy way : upload several images at once wit hFTP (the upload with b2evo is rather on the slow side)) and then make posts out of them in the photoblog. The problem is that the FTP images are not registered by b2evo and small and medium size thumbnails are not created. My question : is there a way to have the thumbnails created ?
Thanks for your answers
cordialement, Jacques :)

Do you at least see image filenames in b2evo file manager?

Hi Sam2kb. Yes, I see the file names. I can also have them visible in a post, but the thumbnails are missing whereever they should appear : in an index, in the file manager in the back office (i have a black squares with some text in red at the left of the file names), etc. So that's why I would like to know if it's possible to have these thumbs created without having to erase the image files and then reload using the b2evo back office.

There's a problem with file permissions. You need to make sure media directory and its subfolders are writable, set perms to 755 or 777.

Hi Sam2kb,
Thanks a lot. This was the point. Since there was no _evocache created automatically, I created one, but it then has to have the permissions set to 777 (?). Then everything works... So when using FTP I have to take care of the permissions of the sub-dir that I create for the new uploaded files. Regards. Jacques
