Hi I have been trying to get the post by mail function to work but keep getting this message
"You configured test mode in the settings or set $test to 2. Nothing will be posted to the database/mediastore nor will your inbox be altered."
I have tried searching the net and found several mentions of this problem but no solutions.
I tried updating to the latest stable version which I believe is 4.1.6 but still get the error.

Anybody have a solution for this?

Thanks

See if it works in b2evo v5.
I might be wrong, but I think v4.1 still uses the legacy blog by email code.

Ok installed 5.0.2 Alpha and the error messages dissapeared and the mail from the cron job says everything is ok but it still doesnt get posted to the blog and I cant see where it stops. I have tried using both the cron_exec.php and getmail.php and have set their permissions to execute for both user and group.
Any other suggestions?

Have you tried to post manually without a cron job?

You mean by using the "create one post" function, yes it reads and shows the message but bothing gets posted from there either. But now for some reasons about an hour ago without any changes it suddenly posted the mails via cron. I have now tried to send a new mail and exactly the same thing, nothing happens via cron and trying to manually post the mail via back office showws it reads it correctly and everything seems ok but nothing gets posted.

Found the first error it was a scheduling thing, the scheduler was set to run only once a day. Changed that so now it post fine on straight text posts, but if I attach a picture it disregards the whole post. So still not functioning as expected but a bit closer.

If i try to post without using the IMG feature it posts but then you have to open each post to see the pictures, if I tick of "Display image attachments using <img> tags" nothing gets posted.
