This really is totally frustrating! You are the ones who don't like CAPTCHA, because it makes it hard for people to log in, but you have this BS issue with the cookies that make it impossible for admins to log in!

I've been going back and forth with Fransois because of error "Either you have not enabled cookies or this login window has expired" and decided to upgrade from 3.x.x to the current 4.x.x stable version and WHOOPIE! not I don't get that error...Now I get Incorrect crumb received. I really don't have time for this! Either this error, or the old error, has been driving people crazy for 10 years I think. Time to come up with a security protocol that doesn't have this shortcoming, potential for error!!!

This is a subdomain, and is the only installation of b2evolution.

The subdomain is http://paupergirl.nowfind.us/evolution/

I have uploaded my basic config file and have tried using the base URL as above, as well as the actual blog location, which is:

http://www.nowfind.us/paupergirl/evolution/

...and it makes no difference. And, before you ask...I have made no changes to the upgraded installation except for the config file and whatever the install script did by itself, including the database update.

Previously, I uploaded by debug info and was told that it can contain confidential info (which I did not see in what I uploaded).

[b] What do I do now? I have not been able to post to this blog for more than a month!

Hi, I also get this error when I'm trying to login to backoffice:

Incorrect crumb received! [loginform]

Your request was stopped for security reasons.

Have you waited more than 120 minutes before submitting your request?

Please go back to the previous page and refresh it before submitting the form again.

How can I solve this??? Thanks

Hi @jordibabot,

The only way to figure it out (at least for me) what is going on, is by activating the debugging mode and share a screenshot of the page where the error is. Also could be useful to share a link to the page as @olen did (I tried to create a new user account on his page and got the error that he mentioned, but with no more information is impossible to know what could be happening).

Regards !

Sure...and how am I supposed to activate debugging mode if I can't log in?????????

Hello @olen,

DId you, at least, try to read the manual page? The link that appears here when anybody writes: debugging

You don't need to log in to activate debug mode and try to get some additional information about the error. Btw, now you are coming back to the forums, please read these pages: http://b2evolution.net/man/installation-upgrade/advanced-setup/multiple-domains and http://b2evolution.net/man/installation-upgrade/advanced-setup/a-basic-multi-domains-example. Please note that kind of errors oftenly occurs when the $baseurl variable is not well configured.

Please read and come back to us if you can't solve the problem by yourself.

Regards!

I do not have multiple domains. Please read MY prior emails. I had sent Francois everything he asked for, including emailing him log-in information and this went nowhere. The website comes up just fine, but no-one can log in, whether they go to paupergirl.nowfind.us or nowfind.us/paupergirl. I have tried having $baseurl as each configuration. On setting doesn't work at all, and the other one yields the error we're talking about.

I had also supplied the debugging info to Francois in a forum post, after he asked for it...then he reprimanded me for posting it publicly...though I did not have his email address, at that time, with which I could have sent it to him alone.

Now what do I do? If I had your email address, I could send the debug info to you.

BTW...when I tried to send in this forum reply, I got the same darned error:
Incorrect crumb received! [comment]; Your request was stopped for security reasons; Have you waited more than 120 minutes before submitting your request? Please go back to the previous page and refresh it before submitting the form again.

So, obviously you've got this same bogus code as part of the b2evolution.net site. Has anyone considered that this part of the B2E script is a poorly-written security solution, and needs to be modified...rather than burdening everyone, who tries to utilize B2E with this agony?

As for "coming back to the forums"...you can bet that I tried to resolve this issue for months, but sometimes it took months to even get a reply, whether by email or via the forum.

Hello @olen,

All right, my first mistake was inmediatelly answer to a comment I considered sarcastic, and the second one, was give you an answer without having checked your other posts and even without fully read this one. Sincere apologies.

First than all, maybe you should describe how you got the Incorrect crumb error in this site, it's almost sure this is not a "bogus code" or "poorly-written security solution" issue, but well, hands-on your particular one. I wrote you a message with my email, please check it and let's be in contact.

Thanks.

I have no emails from you...only notices that you've posted to this thread.

Nothing was done to prompt the errors. The girl, who I created the paupergirl.nowfind.us blog for, had been able to post just fine. Then, all of a sudden, she could not log in. Then, neither could I. The only thing that I had done was delete some spam comments, but I don't see how that could have affected the ability to log in.

It seems to me that the login & password process is part of the basic code, not an addon like done with WordPress. WP has multiple login addons and if one doesn't works, it can be deleted and a different log script can be used. But, with B2E, we seem to be stuck with one option and, if it doesn't work correctly, no-one can log in at all.

Hello @olen,

About the login process, no matter if there is one or several ways to log in b2evo, the thing is, in your case, the source of your problem is structural and needs to be solved because it may cause many other issues besides of the users log in.

I sent you a private message here in b2evolution.net. Please check the evoBar at the top of the page, right next to your username is a link named Messages, please go there and check.

Thanks.
