I think the title is a bit misleading. Using the word 'Modifying b2evolution' when what you mean is selectively taking a part. It The end result could hardly be called a modified version of b2evo. :)

Whereas I imagine the Admins do monitor the site I think they are also the developers and have hundreds of jobs in the pipeline and probably do not see your request as important to the development of b2, nor, as you say, a problem that needs fixing, so help may be a while in the pipeline

ps. If the admin(s) can make this thread public for everyone.. might help others down the road!

Noting your continuing requests to have posts made Public
a) Someone who is not logged in will not be able to answer or help
b) All those logged in will see your post whether Public or Community
c) I think the admin/moderators etc. consider it stretching the job of the forum which is to help those with b2evo and your request is anything but it is a distraction to a large degree so you may have to wait patiently, a little longer :(

1) You want help to pick bits of b2evo out for a separate application and
2) You want more people to know what you want

The title was pretty clear.. I'm looking o mod the b2evolution.. only interested in extracting the user/login/registration... concise and to the point.

As to actually having someone "help", I'm more than willing to hire someone for this as I've stated in the past. I'm also open to any docs/pointers that someone might be willing to share with me on this.

But I have no expectation that someone will shell out time to work on this for free!

As far as ripping apart an open source app and using/taking pieces that then get inserted/transferred into other apps. Happens all the time. As long as any resulting app follows the "license" of the apps/code that go into creating the derivative work.. isn't normally a big deal.

I have no issues with that. It's open source.
