AFAIK there is no (current) way of getting a feed for updates, about the best you can do is hook into the [url=http://b2evolution.net/news?tempskin=_rss2&disp=comments]news rss feed[/url]

I do know that they are thinking of adding something that will cover this in 2.0 though.
