Request plugin for SEO urls!
We use Joomla as our host site and b2 as our blog. Its hard to get Google to index the blog because of the URLS b2 uses. Joomla has several plugins to solve this problem. All are in php take a look here:

We use one called "Artio SEO" it has raised our ranking in google. Im sure the same could be done for B2
