Did you download the YouTube Plugin? What Version of B2Evo are you using? Do you have a link to your site?
The YouTube Plugin works like a charm - out of the box.

once I get the plugin loaded, how do I install it to the site?

Hi c93,
Apart from the search function, there is also the ducumentation. There you find a page on howto install a plugin.
Good luck

Hi lostnucleus,
The YouTube plugin does not (yet) work on 2.x. What works is the Video Plugin. But I suggest you upgrade to 2.1 first ;)
Good luck

the new video player is really nice. You can see it in action at my site right now.
YOu definitely want to update to 2.1.0 Beta.

Most of our plugins haven't been converted to 2.x yet, we were waiting for the core to stabilise a tad before working our way through them.

I wonder if lostnucleus and c93 are the same person?
Either way: the youtube plugin doesn't work for 2.* installations. Read it, believe it, and go the hell away.
You'll find the same thing everywhere in open-source land: just because it worked back then doesn't mean it'll work now.
You've also been told that the videos plugin (which ships with 2.something) will handle youtube links. So what's the damned problem?
Now pay attention or go away. No one here gets anything for trying to help you, and we all get depressed when idiots refuse to listen then insult us.
Go play with WP you freakin moron.
Lord I hate morons.

21 personman Dec 19, 2007 19:01
The current version of the YouTube plugin (2.2.0) now works with b2evolution 2.2.0. Are you using both of those versions? If so, PM me your login info and I'll check it out.
22 esanchez Dec 21, 2007 05:54
I had a similar problem. You have to go into the Plugins and select "install new", then select the YouTube plugin.
Then a button will appear for the video. The new code is:
23 personman Dec 21, 2007 13:40
Actually, is the code for the built in video plugin. My YouTube plugin still uses .
hi lostnucleus,
To open a link in a new window you either add target="_blank" inside the link, like:
or you use javaScript. For that use Google.
YouTube video's don't work out of the box in B2evo.
Search the forum for the solutions.
Good luck
