new blog but no back office - what's the matter?

My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

I have no back office on my blog. All entries are on the same page. They are listed under the directories and subdirectories I want the entries in, but when I cick on the entries I get a 404 error!

What am I doing wrong?

hopefully this is an easy fix. rename sample.htaccess to .htaccess and reupload it ;)

*edit*
and rename index1.php to index.php ;)

Well, it's halfway fixed. It now shows a back office link upon login, but it still takes me to the posts instead of the back office when I login.

Ahh yeah, the links a smidge misleading

hit [url=http://www.tiemka.com/blog/admin.php?ctrl=blogs]this link[/url] and set a default blog etc ;)

When you say "it takes me back to the posts" do you mean the blog homepage?

Yes, it takes me back to the page with the posts not to the back office

ok, when I login I get this screen :

If that's not what you see then the chances are that you need to clear cookies and try again

Now change yer password, otherwise one day I'll have far to much to drink and smoke and have one of those "bugger did I really do that" moments the morning after when I realise that I really did make a post to yer blog the night before ;)
