Might there be a bug in the Version thingy?
When I just started a post, I added my 2.3 version, checked it again, posted it and it popped up as a version 1.x (it did that to me before)

Regarding the search function.
It didn't work well for me to begin with.
I'm using the google blog search thing now,. At least it pops up some results :(

Yes there seems to be an error. Not always, but often enough.
