I have enabled "Check to allow new users to register themselves" for all the new users. I created a new group also with full access to Blog permission.
Actually I want to give permission to all the users except admin to only see the existing blogs ( not to edit them) and create their new blogs and posts.
Do i need to something with the "Level for new Users". Currently it is set to 1.

this may work for you pretty good.. however it might need some revising to use in 2.4..
why dont you give it a try, if an update or modification is needed, i am sure our kind users wont hesitate to help you out
