My B2evo is very slow. Any Suggestions

Hi everyone
my version is 2.4.0 rc

my b2evo is very slow and sometimes the page doesn't complete loading or shows part of it not all until i refresh it, sometimes even for several times.

i noticed a thread once about error reporting and how it slows down b2evo. i hacked the _advanced.php file in conf folder by commenting the method or variable
//error_reporting( E_ALL )

I saw this suggestion in this thread:

still it didn't help speeding up the blog. Can it be my web host?

What does your web host say about it and the server it's on?

are u already using the optimized htaccess; if you dont i advise you to give it a try (the sample-.htaccess).. and how long have u been using b2evo; check with your sql entries if there is sth wrong (a thousand necessary entries maybe).. and you may also want to clear your cache.. these i can suggest you within my knowledge

There is some marginal improvement though it's still slow.
I think you should be talking to your host about the server they have you on.
