Welcome to the forums.
Make sure the skins you are trying are for the right version of your B2evolution install. There are two types: 1.10.x and 2.x. They are not mutually exchangeable.

Thank you for your reply, Afwas. The skins I'm trying are 2.x, and I don't know what my server has, but is there a way I can upgrade B2evolution on my server? It's a remote server, and I installed B2 evolution through their control panel. There was a not on the control panel about they don't assist with upgrading, so I guess it can be done, but I don't know how. Are there instructions for upgrading the software remotely? Thanks!
