My b2evolution Version: 2.x

I want the background color for the sidebar on my blog to go all the way down to the footer instead of ending where the text in the sidebar ends, midway on the page. Does anyone know what code I would need and which page I need to put it on to cause the sidebar color to go all the way to the footer? I am using b2evolution version 2.4.5
