My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

Sorry, could not send email.
Possible reason: the PHP mail() function may have been disabled on the server.

I currently am running Apache off a stripped down version of Gentoo. Php is current enabled and running on version 5.2.6. I can't really think of anything else to check. Any ideas?
