How do I use the xml and rss feed?

I was reading on another site that you can somehow use these things to get updates from other blogs?

I have no idea what these are and how to use them, can someone help me?

Aggregating RSS feeds from other blogs/within b2evo has been discussed, but for now, all it can do is generate the feeds, not parse/read them.

Is there anyway to display the recent feeds on my blog menu?
I downloaded something called Feed On Feed to subscribe and read feeds.

After downloading that, I discovered that my browser, Opera will do that for me!

Still not sure how to get the updates to show up on my blog sidebar though.
