[2.x] converting from Serendipity

My b2evolution Version: 2.x

After searching and experimenting all day, I finally found a quick and easy way to convert from Serendipity to b2evolution!

Simply use the script below to convert your Serendipity database (including comments) to a MovableType text file:

Then, use the importer tool that comes with b2e. It worked perfectly the first time.

I'm posting it here so that the next person who searches the forum for help with this conversion won't have to waste most of a day....

Hi jdfalk. Like filthio says, thanks for helping out folks by showing that link. But hey when I saw a 3 year old post dug up with an answer (this link) I was like "wtf". Anyway glad to see it here, glad to have it here, and I deleted the other post so that other thread stays buried in the past.
