[2.x] How to redirect to new URL?

My b2evolution Version: 2.x

I made a typo in my post title and changed the title after I had published the post. Then I corrected the url-slug as well (I use clean permalinks).

But how do I redirect visitors who use the old link?

I tried this common method but it did not work

redirect 301 /blog/2009/old/  http://www.domain.com/blog/2009/new/

Only the b2evo 404-page appears (Not Found b2evolution cannot resolve the requested URL)

It's probably better to leave the old post (with the old URL), save it as "Redirected" and put the URL of the new post in "Link to URL" field.

So your old post will redirect users to the new post with status 301
