I have upgraded my blog from 2.4.7 to 3.3.1 and can't get the new sidebar links working.
I can add a sidebar link post and it's displayed in the admin panel.
I have added the Simple Sidebar List widget and the post title is added to the blog.
But when clicking on the link I get the following error:
Invalid request
Nothing to be shown
Also the Permanent link is not working at all in the admin section for the sidebar links. They work fine for normal posts.

I am also having this exact problem.
I thought maybe I posted the links in the wrong manner.
1) I navigated to "Posts / Comments" then clicked on the "sidebar links" tab.
2) I clicked "new link" on the right hand side of the "post list" title bar.
3) I typed in the title of the link in the "title" field.
4) I typed the link url itself in the message field.
Can somebody explain the proper way to post a link?
UPDATE: Wow. That is really un-intuitive. I had to click the "expert" tab, when creating a new link, to make a "Link to url" field appear, and that is where I typed in the URL for the link, all the while COMPLETELY ignoring the message field, which shouldn't even be there anyway, I would think.
But the links work now, so I'm happy.
