My b2evolution Version: 2.x

I have spent the last few days reading the forums and looking through various code on of different skins and I can’t find what I am looking for. I have a few questions that hopefully someone can answer.

How would I go about removing the little arrows also known as » in the comments and trackback sections of the code? Also some skins have a | and some a little bullet point also know as • inbetween them. How can I go about changing or removing it? I have used dreamweaver to do a search for both of them in the base templates but can’t seem to find them. So I can only assume that I need will need to make a somewhere else.

How would I go about adding custom class="" or id="" to the comments and trackback sections of code?
