Backup

One of my websites using Joomla got hacked. The hacker knew what he was doing and probably took some confidential information. He then proceeded to destroy the site. What really saved my site was a backup I took a few days earlier.

A few days later my blog which uses b2evolutions was attached to this site was attacked. I do not think he could crack the security. But it has made me paranoid a bit. Is there anyway of backing up my blog site?

I know wordpress has this software

Does b2evolution have something similar?

I don't believe there's anything built into b2e. I can recommend an installation of mySQLDumper though, to pull out database backups.

Backup is also a feature currently in development so may very well be in the next major release of b2evo.

Backups can usually be scheduled from hosting control panel.

Most web hosting companies provide you with tools to back up your site completely.

However we have integrated a complete backup feature into b2evolution version IV.
