Two questions:

1) Are all the files uploaded propperly?

2) Have you edited _main.php so that the files aren't being called?

No, he's not saying you need to edit the file, he's asking if you have made any changes to the file that may have messed it up. If you're not sure, then you may want to reupload _main.php (and probably all of the files in that directory and the whole skins directory.

I only asked because I think that I've not seen this before, and it's always worked for everyone else.

Seeing that I wouldn't know what I was doing if I tried to edit anything in there, I don't think I did... LOL

But I will upload everything in the skins directory and see if that works.

Hmmm...

Ok, I deleted the skin and uploaded it again and I am still not seeing the categories... The other skins are working, so I am not sure where to look now...

I am running version 0.9.0.10 - am I maybe downloading the wrong version of the skin? I downloaded from here: http://skins.b2evolution.net/09010.php

Any other suggestions?

Is there any particular reason you're not running 0.9.0.12? I believe that version should work, but I know 100% that it works with 0.9.0.12.

I installed through Fantastico, and the upgrade isn't there yet... :)

Interestingly...

I did a second blog on my site:

And the categories work there fine... Something is going on with my first blog...

Upgrading is easy. Just make a back up of your database before you start. I assume you also haven't patched you files then, and if you haven't you probably will loose everything because they fix security holes.
