I installed 1.8, and then I installed a new skin. I changed the blog settings, but now when I access the "Blog all" page, I get this message:
"Please, do not access this page directly." on a blank page
Afterwards I changed the index page for the contents of the multiblog file, but no change. Permissions are set and all files are in the right places on the server. Before I uploaded the skin, I had access to all pages.

You've installed an old skin, which is not for version 1.6+.
See the first line in your skin's _main.php file. This is, where it dies. Change that, so that it reads like the first (PHP) line of most of the files in /inc/ and it should not die anymore.
But you'll suffer then from the changes that are needed to convert your skin, so you'll probably should just take a skin that is ready for 1.8.
What skin are we talking about?
