I want to use NauticaGold but before I upload it to my files I need to know if it can be used with the alpha 1.6 installation of b2. I have no expertise in adapting but if you want to point me to instructions for adapting it I will give it a shot.
I appreciate your time.

1.6 is a alpha release, and really should not be used when better and newer releases are out. Hence 1.8.2 is the latest and best release out.

The upgrade should be painless, and a lot of the skins have been ported over as you can see from the b2evolution skins page.

There are guides to convert 1.6 skins to 1.8 so you could go backwards, but i would not recomend it at all.
