Registered users or members of the blog?

In the first case, use the basic antispam plugin for b2evo 1.8.x, in the second case I would add this to the basic antispam plugin for 1.9.. :)

Thank you for your reply but I dont understand it. You say use the antispan plugin. If this is the one that came with it all it allows me to do is add words or sites not allowed. Then you say add it to the basic antispam plugin 1.9.

Can you please explain this in novice terms. This is my first blog setup and I am quite confused. I am getting alot of comments in my blog that are spam.

So do I download the antispam plugin and then do what?

I'm talking about the "Basic Antispam Plugin", not the "Antispam" tab.

Go to "App settings" / "Plugins". If it's not in the list of installed plugins already (probably not), then click "Display available plugins" and install it from there. Then look into its settings.

There's a "Allow anonymous comments" option which you can uncheck.

This is all for 1.8.2 and above.

Thank you your indepth reply. I now understand. I do not have version 1.8.2 or higher. So I guess I must download this and install it. Will this effect my skin and my existing blogs.
