Yes that did it. There was an asterisk in the Aggregation box. I upgraded from a recent version 6.6.4 or 6.6.5, not sure which, but probably 4 since I have another collection I use b2evo on and it's still at 4.
I don't know if it makes any difference, but my default collection has ID 7 in my list of collections. In other words, it wasn't the first blog I created on this system.
Thanks for the really prompt response.
David.

I am very close to loosing my clients because I take too long fixing the updtae problems!
I consider giving up B2evolution and changing for another CMS because of 2 problems:
can't get the Contact feature to work because it has this
nkorrekten Crumb erhalten! [newmessage]

But also I have another problem that I cannto fix, I cannot upgrade over 6.5.0 bcause the database update is not working.
The support here is slow and the community is only 2 people, I think B2evos is dying and I don't want to die with it.

@ingeniero thanks for your comment, but I don't understand how your appreciations are related with this thread. You have two open threads, one for each topic you mentioned:
- http://forums.b2evolution.net/crumb-validation-problem-on-multidomain-installations#c105973 (btw, did you follow what I said?)
Are your sites still broken due to the upgrade problem? Our FIRST recommendation when you reported was to restore your backup and pospone the upgrade until a fix can be found in a local / test environment. There is no need to jeopardize your production site. So, if your site is not online, it is not up to us.
In addition to that, maybe we are just a few people as a visible face, but a same-day response time is way better than what you may find in many other open source communities. Also, if you earn money from your sites, and you have a problem with them, maybe you need to consider a more dedicated service in order to fix them. I suggest you to check this page: http://b2evolution.net/about/support/.
Regards.

my sites are working with the old software but clients cannot send mail with the forms
because of the crumb problem ( I use old fashioned href=mailto.... again now! )
so the crumb problem means update 6.6.x and that versions means database problem,
so I am stuck and desperate and frustrated!

All right, @ingeniero.
so the crumb problem means update 6.6.x and that versions means database problem
No. Please, let's keep talking about the crumb problem in this post: http://forums.b2evolution.net/crumb-validation-problem-on-multidomain-installations, and confirm that you followed what is instructed in the "Cookies" section of this page: http://b2evolution.net/man/multiple-domains, as we suggested you before.
That should be enough to get your site working properly, no matter its version.
Thanks.
Hum... can you check if your homepage collection is now configured as an aggregation of many other collections?
http://b2evolution.net/man/collection-aggregation-settings
(in which case, you just need to remove the aggregation)
It is not normal for this to happen, chan you tell us exactly from which version to which version you upgraded please?
