Yes Sir, ;)
but this is the order for the comments in the frontend. Independant of that I wish to set the order of the comments in the backoffice. Is there another setting for this?
So I wish:
- the chronological order for comments in the frontend;
- the reverse chronolical order for comment view in the backend.

No, it's the same parameter. It defines the order in both, the back-end and the front-end.

So it would be very nice if there would be two differece settings - one for the frontend, one for the backend.

Well, it's now proposed as a feature request, but remember that more settings can increase the flexibility of the software but also its complexity.
Thanks.

This post has been moved to the regular support category.

Ok,
more features increases the complexity.
Maybe you can design it as a choice like this:
Sorting of Comments
(_) global (for backoffice and frontend)
(x) 2 different settings
..... Frontend-Settings
........(x) chronological
........(_) reverse
......Backend-Settings
........(_) chronological
........(x) reverse
And in case of "global"
(x) global (for backoffice and frontend)
(_) 2 different settings
...... Settings for Frontend and Backoffice
........(x) chronological
........(_) reverse

Okay,
I haven't found the cat for the "thank you" - so I will post it here: ;)
Thank you for changing the sorting of comments. Now - in version 6.6.6 - the comment page starts on the first page with the newest comment on top. That is great.
I have not found any setting for that like I describe above, but this is ok for the moment. I hope, it will not change to the oldest one on top, if I change the sorting order of comments for the front side ...

@ednong don't worry, the front-office's direction has nothing to do with the back-office.
This change is harcoded, so there is no parameter to configure the direction of the list in the back-office.

Yes, Sir,
now it is independant. The versions before the changes switched both - the front side and the back office ...
Hi @ednong,
Comments order is controlled by a per-blog parameter, you can find more information here: http://b2evolution.net/man/comment-viewing-options
Regards!
