The default skin under 6.4.3 is bootstrap for the backend. And with this skin there exists a lot of problems/errors.

1. Need more space - this skins is using more space than the former chicago.

2. Profile picture of the admin exist, but don't appears. It is in my user folder under media, the right size - but I cannot (re-)connect it with my profile. The profile pictures of the other users are ok (not only under bootstrap).

3. The Widget list is - errm, what the heck? - a list in a list in a list? I have a screen shot of it. Its terrible ;)

4. I got no more information about new messages in the right top corner. I need to click or to hover over my profile name and then click on the left on messages in a menu to see my messages. Very circumstantial (not only under bootstrap.

5. A long, long long list of categories and blogs on the right side. Maybe it would be better with accordion of jquery or similiar.

So I:m using the old chicago style furthermore.

The screenshot in a new entry, will not works here.
The tags will not works here too.

The screenshot of the widget list ...

Thank you for reporting.

1. Yes, that is the only thing in your list that is intended.

2. Can you please try to delete it and reload it through the profile picture edit form?

3. We are running 6.4.3 on several sites but I have never seen such a broken widgets screen.

Do you see this on every collection or just one?

If yes, do all your collections have the same widgets or are they different?

Also if it's not an isolated problem, can you please try to completely clear your browser cache and also make sure all files of 6.4.3 have been properly uploaded to your server?

4. That's annoying. We'll put the badge back somewhere.

5. Which screen are you referring to?

3. we found the bug ;) more info soon.

Hi fplanque,

Thanks for your response.

1. The "more space" is in generell for the bootstrap skin if you compare it with the old chicago, not only the list above.

2. I've tried ths before I write here. No success.

3. Yes, I'm special every time ;)

4. I hope so.

5. Write a new Post, for example. on the right side are the blogs and cats. In Chcago, it is with scroll bars. In bootstrap it is long, long, very, very long. Did I said, I have a lot of blogs running in my b2evo?

7 08 Jun 2015 07:54

@ednong having a screenshot of point 5 would make it easier to figure out what are you referring to.

8 08 Jun 2015 23:28

A screenshot of writing a new post? Huh. Okay, you will see above ..

First Screenshot in chicago - you will see an ending list of blogs and cats in the right sidebar.
You will see, in chicago it is nice and small. There are 20 cats listed.

9 08 Jun 2015 23:35

And now - the same thing in bootstrap.

You can see - it will use more space for less of informations. Here you will see only 15 cats on the right side, but there are all. So I need a lot of scrolling to reach the settings "Eigenschaften". Really a lot - the scroll wheel will be hot after this :D

By the way - if I click in the right top corner on "$my profile name > Admin Skin > $Name-of-the-skin" I will jump to my profile site, but only on the first tab, not the tab with the theme/skin. This is another bug, I guess.

Ok, you're right about the list of categories.

11 10 Jun 2015 01:47

@ednong

1. As said, this is voluntary.

2. Waiting for your answer.

3. Is fixed on github.

4. Is planed to be fixed today. The new badges will be in the front office and backoffice main navigation bars (not in the evobar, which not everyone has access to)

5. Is planed to be fixed today.

I got the same widgets problem. Is there an update to the theme I can load? I don't know how to use GitHub by the way.

I actually came today because I wanted to change the default font for my bootstrap theme, but can't seem to figure out where. I tried at the end of the style.css file, but had no luck, using:

body, p, h1, h2, h3, h4, blockquote {
font-family: Georgia, serif;
}

But now I notice there are multiple versions of Bootstrap skin, so I don't even know if I am in the right place.

2. ok, can you attach your profile picture here?

As I said - I'm admin but I can't get it back. In this screen there is no pic nearby my nick name. That is really strange - no permissions changed, the place is the same, the file is there ...

16 13 Jun 2015 21:37

@ednong If you can't get the picture through FTP then the file is corrupted for some reason and there's nothing we can do.

@drherz version 6.4.4 is coming out this week-end.

Towards customizing Bootstrap I found this generator http://getbootstrap.com/customize/
But that asks for the config.json of the used Bootstrap. Where can I find it?
And: does anyone have any experience with this generator?

Thanks, will

In my sandbox (at same host with same parameters) I had installed 6.4.3 and updated to 6.4.4. The used bootstrap skin works fine, also on IE11 on Windows RT Surface. It is responsive as expected. (see pic, below - http://www.genba.org/blogs )

Some days ago I updated my other blogs from 5.2.2. to 6.4.4. and selected also the bootstrap skin. But now the blog does not work on IE11 on Windows RT Surface. I get the error message, that the browser is too old (although it is actual). The skin does not load totally. Seems as if CSS does not work. (see pic above - http://npo-consulting.net/blogs/)

At least I have overwritten all files of the the not working instance with those from the working sandbox: rsc folder, all bootstrap files from skin and some files from inc to. But nevertheless the bug remains. (Even after having deleted all caches)

Does anyone have an idea to fix this?

Thanks and regards, will

Any chance there are different plugins on the 2 sites?

20 20 Jun 2015 03:57

I checked this. Same Plugins.
Meanwhile I set up a brand new 6.4.4. copied conf, media, and run install. The bug remains for all blogs set up there.
Checked also widgets.
It seems that this installation is not able to detect the actual version of IE and therefore could not call css.
Where happens the version check?

21 21 Jun 2015 20:46

A similar problem (IE detection) is described here in this forum for a former version - http://forums.b2evolution.net/ie-version-detection - but in 6.4.4. this fix adresses lines in file which are not longer provided.
So - where happens the IE browser detection in 6.4.4. ?

22 22 Jun 2015 04:31

Keep up the good work guys !!!

23 22 Jun 2015 19:05

OK, I replied on the other thread about IE detection.

24 22 Jun 2015 20:03

sry, couldn't find your reply there - please leave a link

May be this is helps to diagnose the malfunction of bootstrap in windows RT 11 as described above:
The bootstrap widgets (container) of those blogs which don't feature responsive differs from that bootstrap containers in the sandbox blog that works responsive.
(the image above shows the working responsive bootstrap and the image below that shows a screeshot of widgets of the bootstrap having a responsive bug.

PS: skin bootstrap_blog which is used came with the 6.4.4. version. this is no updated version.
