My b2evolution Version: 2.4.x [edit: I actually chose 2.x when I posted this but for some reason it reverted to 1.1.x... odd]

I'm having a similar problem as listed in this thread: http://forums.b2evolution.net/viewtopic.php?t=14268

I just updated to the latest stable 2.4.0 release and all went well except that any time I try to install a new skin and activate it, I get the following error:

An unexpected error has occured!

If this error persits, please report it to the administrator.

Additional information about this error:

The skin [nifty_green] set for blog [Swift] does not exist. It must be properly set in the blog properties or properly overriden in a stub file.

it DOES exist and shows up with it's thumbnail. nifty_green was one of three skins I tried that put the calendar column on the LEFT instead of the right hand side. the other two I tried were nifty_yellow and nifty_blue

I have tried clearing the cache as was suggested and deleting and re-adding skins to no avail.

I would appreciate any advice. A quick fix for me would be to be able to edit the current skin I'm using "nifty_corners" and edit it so the column is on the left but I have no clue how to do that.
