I have upgraded my files to 2.42, according to the simple instructions, "overwrite the old ones". My problem is that my version number is still 2.41. But in /blogs/conf/_application.php it is definitely 2.42. Anybody know what is going on?
All I can suggest is that you check off that you did upload the files.
It depends on where your seeing the version number...
admin or when you view source for your index.main.php
I did the same upgrade with a non custom skin and it was fine
