Hi,
I would be very glad, if there would be an easy way for the alignment of images. If I put an image inside, it is automatically centered with no text on its right or left side.

I would have a button/list (or 3) for a floating left or floating right sided image with text on the other side. And one button for a centered image as it is at the moment.

Thanks,
ednong

Hi @ednong,

The images management is very important for the development team, so there are always improvements in that subject.

I guess that you are talking about inline images, which is the "right" (or at least the recommended) way to insert images into posts. If I'm right, there is an easy way to control their alignment, and all it is documented in this page: http://b2evolution.net/man/image-short-tag.

Of course, a couple of buttons are always appreciated in order to make things even easier, but in the meantime, you can use the alignment classes to make your posts look as you want to.

Regards!

Actually, I forgot to attach the screenshot related to my previous comment. However, in addition to that comment, I might say that images inserted using the WYSIWYG editor can be aligned using the same options provided by the editor itself.

@mgsolipa
Thanks for your answer.

I don't use the WYSIWYG-Editor and I miss this kind of buttons in the normal text editor for the inline images. So it should possible to put this button there to or better into the "Add Picture" box, where I can edit/delete the image (at the botton/under the text editor), I guess?

All right, screenshots are always helpful.

There is a bug with the floating feature when the smilies plugin is enabled. You can get rid of the :. ( :. ) emoticon (if you don't mind to loose that one in particular, of course). Also, this is already reported and a fix will be included in a future release, or available to download from GitHub (https://github.com/b2evolution/b2evolution/tree/i6) as a part of our periodical codebase update process. So, you can just wait for that as well.

Thanks.
