How do I disable the analytics?

Can I completely disable or uninstall the Analytics module?
I do not need any evaluation of visitors or page views.
The new data protection regulation of the EU requires however with all collected data of the visitors an explicit consent explanation and their documentation, this I would like to avoid or at least reduce to the absolute minimum.

I think the EU regs only cover business use, in which case you would want the details and have adequate resources to deal with it. Basically my multitude of blogs don't sell anything or collect data other than access sessions, which I delete regularly to save space, but not because of EU regs.

The analytics module is internally called the "sessions" module. Without it, you cannot log in.

You can set up b2evolution to purge all hit data after 3 days.
