Inserting images inline to post

I have read and re-read the manual pages on adding images but I cannot get this to work - I attach images to the post - select the image I wan to add then I select the inline option - click on the green + sign but nothing happens. So far all I can do is add an image to the teaser . I am using version 6.7.7 - blog address is http://edgeworthstown.net/blog/blog1.php
I tried putting the image in as an image link but it appears as a broken link. I changed the file name of the image as I thought it might be too long but so far, nothing.
I can also add images 'After more' but cannot figure out how to have these same images in the main body of the post

Please post a screenshot of your edit screen showing the cursor position in the text area and the + icon you try to click.

Ok, so you say when you press the green (+) nothing happens?

  • Is Javascript turned on in your browser?
  • Can you try in a different browser?
  • Can you use your browser's dev tools to see if a javascript error happens at the time you press the green + ?

Furthermore:

  • If you manually enter: [image:29] at the position of the cursor and Save the post, what do you see when you try to view the post?

Javascript was on

[image:29]

entered manually worked fine

did not try on another browser

  • Can you try in a different browser?
  • Can you use your browser's dev tools to see if a javascript error happens at the time you press the green + ?
