Install stuck halfway

I cant get to install 5.2.2 on my local server. It stops somewhere during "Installing sample contents..." . I checked max_execution_time and max_input, memory they are beyond resonable (180 sec & 4096 mb).

What else may be causing it ?

Scratch that. I was looking at the wrong php.ini. I am gonna increase them to 180 and I should be fine

But still, why isnt 30 sec exec and 60 sec input time not enough ? Something should be done to make the installer faster
