Is it safe to upgrade from 3.3.2 to latest stable 5.0.9 in one go or should it be done in steps ie
3.3.2 to 4.0.0
then 4.0.0 to 5.0.0
and finally 5.0.0 to 5.0.9
Yes, it is safe (and recommended) to upgrade directly from 3.3.2 to 5.0.9. Only make sure to follow the instructions, specially the backup section. It's a best practice, just to be able to come back if something goes wrong.
