It would be great if we could manually set the sort order of categories by dragging and dropping in the same way that we drag and drop the sort order of widgets in containers. Right now we have to assign numbers for each category in a separate admin page for each one, and that's very inefficient especially if new categories are being added and/or moved on a regular basis.. Drag and drop would make reordering extremely simple.

Please, remember that there are a few people developing and testing the core, so user requests could delay to be included in a stable release, based in the priorities of the team. But at the end, all those requests that make sense, have a high probability to be included in some further version.
