b2evolution version: 6.6.7-stable released on 12/31/15
site: www.a4at.com/blog/index.php/b

In older versions we were able to preview multi-page posts without issue and in the latest version we can no longer do this. (invalid request. "Sorry, there is nothing to display...")
Is this a bug?

or did it get removed??

how do we work around it???

Hi @ppnsteve
I made a multi-pages post and preview it in the version of 6.6.7-stable, everything is OK.
So, it's not removed. Does every post gets this problem?(include the new post and old posts?)

Hi @haharen can you tell us how did you tested? It doesn't work for me either.

Thanks.

Steps: create a new post, add some next page tags, save and edit, then hit the preview button.. the preview loads page 1 in a new window like normal, but, but when you click on a page link at bottom, it 404's with nothing to display error.

Does so for new, drafts..
For edits, if published, the page links link to the REAL next pages not the preview ones.

@ppnsteve that's the same behaviour I detected, that's why I asked @haharen to see if he did something different trying to reproduce your report. Thanks.

@mgsolipa @ppnsteve
Yes, when I click on the post pages in the preview mode, it will redirect to the front page but not showing the content of that page. (It seems that the system can not find that page then redirect to the front-page. If we have saved the post and edit it to click on the preview button, then click on the other page of that post, it will show the exact page content of that post. But obviously, it is not in the preview mode but in the real situation.)

At first, I guessed it was not a bug for the post had not been created and was only in the preview mode, so it would be only showing the overview but not detail infomation of all pages. If it worked well in the previous version, then I am sorry, I was wrong, it doesn't work exactly in the version of 6.6.7 and 6.7.0.

@haharen OK.. So you see the same thing we do.. (the post is saved but still in draft form, not yet published) and previewing multi-paged posts doesn't work. correct?

If so, then it IS broken and should be addressed in upcoming updates.

I don't think preview of page 2 and more has ever worked in any previous version.

There is no easy way to do this cleanly without saving the post to the DB.

i seem to remember it showing the whole post with 'markers' denoting new page (similar to when editing) .. If that kind of function can be implemented currently then that's also acceptable.

Great.. THANKS!
I just think its a needed thing as post formatting might be different on various supplemental pages and needs to be checkable before publishing.
