Forget it. This has been a problem for the last week or so, but now it appears to be working properly. In the top toolbar, next to the userid appears the server or local time.
It was out of whack on several occasions when I wrote this, but now appears to be working. I will reopen this if it appears again.
Thanks!
You cropped all the interesting stuff ( all the info in the time adjustment form) away from your screenshot :(
Are you clicking "SAVE CHANGES" after clicking on "Calculate time difference"?
Assuming you do: are you saying that everytime you come back to that screen, the value "2" has weirdly changed into something else, although you have saved changes with a value of 2?
What I'm saying is that when I double click on the time the dialogue opens, which is when the time adjusts automatically.
Nothing has been clicked or changed in the config and I can simply go back to the front-end, now exhibiting the correct local time.
1) Are you clicking "SAVE CHANGES" after clicking on "Calculate time difference"?
2) Does the value "2" change to something else between the time you click "save changes" and the next time you open that screen?
1) I am not clicking nor saving ANYTHING in the config page
Just now the time was 4 minutes off. I clicked on 16:14 in the top bar, which opened the "Time Settings" page. Time adjusted to the correct local time (16:19), after which I simply clicked on "Front Office"
2) No, the time correction is always the same: "2"
The time you see in the top right of b2evolution's evobar is the SERVER time +/- the timezone correction you apply to it, in this case 2 HOURS.
Also the time displayed there is the time of the last page load. If you wait 4 minutes without loading a page, the time will NOT change.
If your webserver is off by 4 minutes at the time a page loads, then you have to ask your webhost to better sync the time (or accept that they don't care about having their servers on an exact time).
b2evolution will never try to reset your server time.
Clicking "calculate time difference" is a convenience tool for helping you to know how many hours time difference you have with your server. It rounds up the minutes.
