I admit it, I'm an idiot. I've read through the FAQ entry on stubs, I've searched the forum and read several threads on using stubs and/or mod_rewrite to get URLs like www.domain.com/blogname/ and now I'm actually more confused.

Can somebody please, in plain English explain to me what I have to do to get my blogs to have noxdineen.com/blog/ and noxdineen.com/vlog/ as their URLs?

Or point me to a thread that does?

The stub system looks marvelously powerful for those of you who can wrangle around with it, but for those of us who can't it seems a simple implementation of clean URLs is lacking.

(In my defence, I may not understand PHP but I can read ancient Akkadian rendered in neo-Assyrian cuneiform. I just picked a less than useful language to spend my efforts on.)
