Solved. Duh. It was in the same post by "stk" that I learned of the hack, just futher down. "Note that ## is the category number, which you can find by mousing over a category link and looking at the url in the status bar on the lower left. The number will show as a URL parameter." Using the info in this thread- http://forums.b2evolution.net/viewtopic.php?t=9307&highlight=change+default+category I have successfully changed my "default" category to my choosing. The issue now is the the "All" category only shows the category that I defaulted to. I would like to either have "All" indeed show all categories or eliminate the "All" choice altogether. No preference. Can anyone help with this?[/i]

Hey sammy,

Can you fill me in on how you implemented the default category? I get a "Call to undefined function: param()" when I put that line in one of my stub files.

EDIT: And for what it's worth, I'm using version 1.8.2
