I use b2evolution since some days and I am very happy with it!

I'm trying to insert posts with some special characters (i.e. äöü). My post is postet but only the part BEFORE the special characters.

For example I enter:
"The following characters are special: äöü! These ones are normal: aou!"

After saving the post, I just get the text:
"The following characters are special: "

In the preview I get the whole text. Because of this, I think the failure occures somewhere in the persistence layer (database connection).

Which variables in mysql, php and b2evolution are relevant for this problem?
