[1.10.x] RSS/Atom feed based on Cat# or Author ID ?

My b2evolution Version: 1.10.x

I didn't see this in the [url=http://manual.b2evolution.net/Use_RSS]Doc[/url] or in the forum, so forgive me if I missed this.

Is it possible with the current b2 to create an RSS feed/based on a category number or the author's ID ?

On a lark I quickly tried http://wtnh.tv/blogs/xmlsrv/rss.php?cat=2 but got the error "Requested Blog from T_blogs without ID!"

If not possible, is this in consideration for b2 2.0.x?

I'm interested in this as well.

Is it possible to edit the RSS feed generator/code so that it throws an extra 'author' tag in the list? Then you could just filter the feed by author. I would think. (I need more coffee)
