i think this is one of the biggest reasons why wordpress is so popular and they have more volunteer coders to develop plugins and extensions..some develop them to advertise too..

may be b2evo may also allow people to create their own blogs "name.b2evo" etc. its a great way to promote b2evo i guess.. once people notice the difference -like me- will advice to others..

and eventually it will be good for b2evo creators, for novice users, developers and everybody..

and a final opinon, of course it does not mean it is better when more people know it, for instance i couldnt even get answers to my questions in wp forums, but people in here are kind to answer and help you
