the latest version. We've had our blogs for a few weeks now... we've never had a problem until today
Are you able to use phpmyadmin to access your database ?
(Access denied for user: 'clarionc_bvlt1@localhost' (Using password: YES))
It seems that you are not using the right password, or you are not accessing mysql on localhost.
I get the same error when i go to admin.php
Check the file ../blog/conf/_basic_conf.php and in there the database settings.
Slamp may be right and your database is (temporarily) down. You can check this by accessng the databse through phpMyAdmin. You find that in the cPanel (or equivalent) from your host.
Good luck
I dont' see on my cpanel where it says myphpadmin or whatever. i did go into MY SQL and hit repair but it didn't help
phpMyAdmin is under "MySQL databases" at my host.
I looked through all of my sql database, there is nothing called that... ya know is there a way that i can give you all of my passwords and suchand you can try to fix it?

PM me. I Will have a look
Hi c93,
Your blog is up and running again. See PM for what I fixed.
To others who follow this topic: The password was not correct, but I do not know what caused this.
Good luck
I am having a similar problem.
I have a new install. on a site hosted by webmasters.
When I try to install it gives the following message,
MySQL error!
Error establishing a database connection!
(Access denied for user 'username'@'localhost' (using password: YES))
Are you sure you have typed the correct user/password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?
It went straightto this page and message without giving me a chance to enter my password or anything else.
Please help
Check the file ../blogs/conf/_basic_conf.php where you find the settings for accessing the database. The password meant here is not the B2evo password but the things you need to access the database and therefore the login/password or even DB location you set when creating that.
Good luck
Just a guess, have you configured your login/password details?
As you don't say what version of b2 your dealing with, it's a bit hard to give a specific answer
