Release dates are down to a certain displaced yank actually finishing a post, on an optimistic scale of one to ten the wise moneys on the low decimals ;)

Oh, totally understood Yabba.
apparently, I make sense on mondays, thursdays and every sixth tuesday of a month.
I've got a hair appointment this monday, and I'm getting my toe nails clipped on thursday, ... can I pencil you in for tuesday the 43rd ?

Youtube plugin won't work in 2.x due to clashing js libraries.
Add my CC License plugin to the list of failures. Fails to offer options when creating a post, but successfully renders existing cc_license posts.
I *think* you can add my Turing Test plugin to the list of successes.
I have not tested my AcroLink plugin and do not know if either of the similar plugins mentioned in this thread refer to it or not.
PLEASE link plugin names in the first post to it's post in the plugin blog! Especially the ones that work in 220 ;)
(I will submit Visiglyphs++ to The Blog ASAP (where ASAP means "after I do whatever it is I'm doing".)
EdB, the las time I tested Turing_test on a version 2 build, it failed.
Maybe you have updated it?
Haven't updated, but haven't really tested either. As a logged in person it gave me credit for knowing the secret word, but THAT doesn't count as a test. Therefore I simply didn't know but had a suspicion that it might work because part of it worked.
Please add it to the list of failures.
(@Afwas: do you mind if those of us with edit permissions modify your initial post to include plugin blog links and if it is known to pass or fail?)
The list could also be managed in the wiki.

That's part of the plan.

Please go ahead.

Have you both been reading my thoughts?
I will copy the list to Topanga's topic on changes in 2.x. I was thinking of Personman also. You can use the list to update the Plugin section.
Thanks all. Keep up the good work.
The list is now also in http://manual.b2evolution.net/Upgrade_from_1.x_to_2.2 . Please feel free (everybody) to add to the list.
Great work. If anyone wants to volunteer to help manage the plugin (or skin) directory, please contact me.
I'd like to upgrade its b2evolution install to 2.2 and set the permissions up so that plugin authors can create and edit their listings. This would be approved authors, not just anyone from the public. That's going to mean migrating the skin to 2.2 and restructuring the categories to handle the newer version numbers. We'll also need some instructions for how to sign up and how to format posts to match what we have now.
I have similar plans for the skin directory, but it's a bit more complicated because we're actually hosting the zip file and there's a demo installation on another server.
Anyone want to help with either of these?

John can you give me more info, please? I just uploaded this plugin to a fresh 220 installation (and we both know the difference between fresh and upgraded eh?) and had no problem using it as advertised. I am upgrading the plugin anyway because all things high-tech should be reviewed from time to time, but I can't see any reason why this plugin needs to be fixed for 2.2.* compatibility. (BTW when I wasn't sure about the usefulness of this plugin I was on 210. 210 is, effectively, obsolete at this point.)
I loaded it into 2.1.0 and it rendered but no one could post a comment.!!!
Can't really tell you much more than that but it was worked pretty hard but had to be deleted in the end
Okay cool. For this thread I'm going to ignore 210 because it was a beta that's been replaced. My experience (meaning my server and set up and blah blah blah) is that turingtest does what it is supposed to do on a 220 installation. Unfortunately I know full well that what works for me might not work for an unknown amount of potential users out there.
But for now I have to say "TT is cool with 220". I wish I could say it with the utmost of confidence, but this is the internet we're talking about ...
Oh and I am upgrading it. Having not touched it for a long time, it's easy to look at it and see things that could be better. So an upgrade is in the works and will be properly published.
ooook, you can download a zip of any of our current plugins ( running on 2.1 atm though, but they should all work in 2.2 ...... except the custom one which has some bugs as mentioned earlier ), that I have installed, here ( http://waffleson.co.uk/2007/10/credits )
The zips are *live* so if my blogs screwed then the zip will hold the same screwups, fair warning. ( thanks to Balupton for that idea ;) )

Nice job ¥åßßå, very nice.
I just released the new version of the YouTube plugin and updated the list on the wiki.

Brief update on my plugins, beginning with good news:
TuringTest is fully compatible with 230RC1 compliments of a bug report that I managed to fix. For versions prior to 2.* an older version of the plugin is still available, but this thread is about plugins working in 2.* yah?
Visiglyphs is fully compatible with 230RC1. (no bug fixes needed)
MoreTags isn't on the list because it was made with 230RC1.
On the unhappy side of town:
CC License fails completely. Upgrading underway, but it also needs to make the new CCv3 licenses so this is a double-upgrade.
AcroLink has not been tested by me. Eventually I'll try but I want my CC Licenses back first.
I will update the first post accordingly.
I spent a night or two trying to get my avatars plugin working on v2.3 a few weeks ago but encountered a fair bit of annoyances... It just needs a few more hours in it, which I do not have... Is someone interested in finishing the port for me? Once that is done, I can easily port my other plugins over. The Gallery Plugin still requires a lot of work, and will be something I will try and get into during February... I am just way too busy...
The problem with the avatars plugin is that it hacks up the display to do what it needs to do, and v2 seems to be handling the forms a bit differently, and I can't figure out which events to get into to tap into the posted form, or which variables to use to figure out which page to display the hacks...
Also could these plugins be listed with the ones that don't work with b2evo v2:
- Show / Hide Post Contents Plugin
- Sticky Announcements Plugin
- Edit Permissions Control Plugin
- Last.fm Plugin
- Sample Renderer Plugin (Tutorial)
- Song Attacher
- Avatars Plugin
- Balupton's Digg Plugin
Here's the official list. You can add and move your stuff around yourself:
Did anyone test live hit plugin on 2.3 ?

Did you?
not yet, my 2.3 test site is installed on localhost :-) and google don't want to give me a key ^^
From Live Hits plugin:

Looks like Live Hits is no go on 2.x. I'll upgrade it soon.
"CC License" is now Creative Commons and supports, for the most part, licenses installed with any prior version of this plugin. Initial post updated, and someone already put it in the wiki but I took out the #whatever part (linked to permalink instead of readmore link).

Any positive progress on this one for 2.4 ?
Hi -
We rely on StickyAnnouncements. Anyone have any idea how to get the same functionality out of 2.x? Or, if not, any idea of when the StickyAnnouncements plugin might work with 2.x?
Garey Mills
Sticky do, Announcement's don't (at this point). I had a look at it, but can't remember right now what kept me from pursuing the Announcements. I believe it was because it's very clumsy done.
See the later posts in this topic: [Plugin] Sticky Announcements.
Weather plugin http://b2evo.astonishme.co.uk/index.php?title=weather doesn't work anymore.
I suppose there's something wrong with weather.com servers, used by the plugin to retrieve weather informations.
The Weather plugin will be partially rewritten to circumvent the problem. I cannot tell when that will happen.
Please be a little patient

Yes, sure. Take your time.
Thank you
dont know if that matters but i guess we should update the it:
[2.4.x] Plugins that work and plugins that don't
as 2.4.2 served for months and it seems there is a long journey to the 3.x or even 2.5.x..
the list wont differ much i believe, the ones working in 2.2 will possibly work with 2.4.. we know that..
but it is better to announce it as '2.4.x' as we ve been and will be using 2.4.x series for long..
the suggestion is rather for the outside readers, googlers, lurkers whatever you call em
Hi tilqicom,
2.2 is chosen because in that version major changes took place. An old plugin may work in 2.0 but not in 2.2
Nevertheless I think this topic is due to be 'unstickied' and drift in the waves of time until it eventually ends up in the archives.
Have fun
Good call. The oldies that aren't caught up probably won't be, so focusing on this issue isn't really a big one anymore.
Unstickied. Let the sinkage begin ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... NOW!
I liked the topic though. In it's time it was a great stimulus for the devvers to have a look at their plugins. Unlike skins there was a great push in development of new plugins right after the start of 2.2.
Nevertheless, the information was and still is available in the Wiki.
Have fun
am bopit hasn't been tested in 2.x .... I was meant to code summat into the core and got busy with other stuff
am code version 2 is now the code highlighter plugin that ships with the core
am custom *sorta* works on my 2.summat blog, but we're still playing with some bugs
am nested comments also works on my 2.summat blog, but I can't remember if I changed any files, I'd need to check.
am digg .... bugger, didn't know there was a problem with that one, where's PersonPerson when you need him?
