My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

If the "Search Feature" is removed will it affect search engine
results for Google, Yahoo and the rest?

I only know enough about php to be dangerous but I did remove
this function and inserted a third party on line hosting companies
search feature (which works beautifuly).

My question is that without the built in database search feature will it hurt,
or hinder the search engine results for my blog? My thought is that
the included search feature of B2 in the data base links all the information
and this could result in a reduction of my excellent first page indexed
keywords.

Is this a valid assumption?

Thanks in advance, here is the blog address; http://www.footologist.com

The blog search is a little more than half way down in the right column.
You can't miss it.

Also, if you wouldn't mind, I would appreicate your opinion of the blog if
you have time to comment.

It won't affect your SEO.
Some will say that giving the SE bots an ability to use your 'search' will improve it.
But on the contrary, at least from my own experience and experiments, it doesn't really help. Additionally, and others will attest to this, SE bots have the tendency to spam your search feature, which will add greatly to your server/host limitations.

Great site and informative :D

Didn't know this word until now tho -> FOOTOLOGIST

:D

I'm actually fighting my own pronation. Noticed it last year, so far so good. I saved a few bucks coz I noticed it myself and studied my own walking lol...

Bookmarked your blog :D very informative...

I appreciate your time Laibcoms.

Footologist isn't really a word, at least not in the dictionary.

I just needed a single word description for a dot com to
show what the site is about and easily remembered.

I had thought I made it up until I did a Google search on the
uk SE and found many "footologist's" in the uk.

If you liked that one, here is my newest venture - "Diabetologist"
for my next diabetes website. And diabetologist.com was
available - go figure.

Thanks again.
