Reloading b2evolution did not work, there was an error message (see below). I did erase the entire folder prior to reloading? Now I can't login or reload the program? Any suggestion?

Hi synergy,
You didn't delete the database and that is the place this error is generated. The fresh install tries to overwrite data that is already in the database.
From here you can do either of these things:
- delete the database, create a new one and install B2evo anew
- go to phpMyAdmin, search in the left bar for b2evo_users, find the password for user ID #1 and change that to:
72b302bf297a228a75730123efef7c41
If you did that correctly, return to the blog. Your username is 'admin' and your password is 'banana'. These are the steps in a list:
When in phpMyAdmin:
1) select the database in the left panel
2) select 'users' by clicking on it in the left panel
3) click Browse, a table will appear.
4) click the pencil (edit) next to 1 - admin
5) add the encrypted password
6) save and exit
Good luck

That worked like a charm!!! Thank you very much. You don't know how long I've been playing with this. Now I also know how to use phpMyAdmin
Thanks again!

Be carefull, phpMyAdmin can do you good, but you can easily ruin your blog with it. :>
Good luck and have fun

Thanks EdB, I'll take your advive. Unfortunately I was playing around in my database before Afwas helped me change my password. Below is the message I PM'd Afwas (at least I think I did)?
"Before you suggested going into myphpadmin I was playing around with my databases. I accidentally deleted one that was being used by my main website (www.synergywellnesscentre.com). That create a bunch of errors. I've just recently re-created the database but there still appears to be this error.
Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/synergyw/public_html/index.html on line 345
It's a box where viewers can sign up for my mailing list / newsletter. It can be viewed here: www.synergywellnesscentre.com
I was hoping I could make a fix to the database and not have the edit all the individual pages? The error shows up on all my main pages. I know this is not a b2evolution question but I thought you may be willing to help?
I've never used the PM function so I'm not sure where this will be posted or where I would check for a reply?
Thanks"
I now know to be A lOT more careful!! I was just frustrated and was about to try anything.
After reading other posts I've decided to simply reload b2evolution again.
