My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

I'm using the 1.10.3 release

I'm having a problem with linking a youtube vid in posts, I use the video button titled 'youtube' and supply the link

but when I look at the post on the blog front page, it's just blank ? when you move the mouse over it says 'click to activate control' - but nothing !

what have I done wrong ?

I have no other mods installed except I'm using the skin 'crystal_glass'

could this be the reason ?

What "link" are you including?
It only requires the video's ID, not a full URL link.

Also, maybe the video is just a real slow loader

still won't work it now just shows the raw code on the post now !

and I tried it with google video - it never plays, the interface comes up unlike youtube but nothing happens when I press the play button.

A link to your blog would be extremely useful ;)

Silly question, you have ticked the box for the you tube renderer ( not that I know if it has one, I'm still catching up with the fact that they have colour tv's nowadays!) ... anyway, if there is one, it'll be at the bottom right of your edit screen ;)

Here's what the source code says...

<p>
[video:youtube<img src= "http://www.rossedwards.co.uk/swing/blogs/rsc/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" class="middle" />WW6QeeVzDc]
</p>

<div class="videoblock">
<embed style="width:400px; height:326px;" id=
"VideoPlayback" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"
src=
"http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=8071705948451371164&amp;hl=en"
flashvars="" />

That Google video is also a non player

ok I got the google video working by putting a '-' before the vid id

and for youtube, it's confusing what code to use as some have 'v=' or '-' as prefix.

but it's all working

cheers guys
