My b2evolution Version: Not Entered

Hi,

I moved my site to a new Apache server (the same as before), but in Keywest I started to get messy characters for á, í, ñ, etc. So, I upgraded to the latest stable version (2.3) but, apart from having to "redo" the entire skin, I keep getting the same messy characters. Take a look:

What's up? I suspect that it is a problem related to the charset, but I don't know how to change that except via a .htaccess. Any solution?

Oh, thanks. It'll be a long ride, it seems!!!

I sincerely expect that "this is the last time" I'll have to change my skin, really. I tried to redo the NifftyGreen but everything messed up! So, now I will customize the new skin you saw on my website once and for all. Somebody said here that from v2+ no other skin customization would be needed. I hope so, because it is a real stone in one's shoe :)

Thanks again, and if I'll run into some kind of problem, I'll let you know it, be sure.

Possible error?:

In

$db_config['connection_charset'] = 'utf8'; (did you miss the hyphen?... utf-8... or it was purposely?)

THANKS A LOT!!!!

Now mySQL is in right collation utf8_unicode_ci

GREAT RESPONSE MAN!!!

I am uploading my css file for showing those Sankrit transliterations in a better form anyway (through the Gentium font, a link to download it will be put afterwards). OK, now get down to work in customization the new skin.

Thanks again... you saved my life

I checked the entire DB with a tool of the server and the tables are completely OK (no errors!!!). I made a backup, of course. Great, friend!

I can't generate the two static pages (in English and Spanish) despite I place the ID, and URL in URLs and Advance tabs because:

"You haven't defined a source file for this blog!"

What did that mean?

Oh yes, I understood:

ID of my blogs in Advanced, then index.php (stub) and ultimately generate the static pages in every language:

and

http://www.sanskrit-sanscrito.com.ar/answers/blogs/respuestas.html

I got it! Thanks anyway.

Now, to customize "Answering" and "Respuestas" links so that they work as I want the two to, i.e. with static pages in .html

Cool!

BTW: As I have now all in utf-8 (Unicode), I don't have to tolerate while editing posts those terrible NCRs anymore (you know &#877 or something, every time a strange character occurred)
