Yes B2evu runs beautifully from your home server.
I once had a setup where I connected to the 'real' server, but nwadays I work with a backup copy.

Note: I've been trying to restore my production db but haven't figured it out. Has anybody done this successfully? I'm getting time out or out of memory errors. Google hasn't been too good on suggestions.

If the SQL file is too large use a tool to cut it in pieces. There is a topic from a few days ago in the forum. If I find it I will link.

I spoke too soon. I just re-downloaded a new backup from production. I went to "Import" and it worked.
