I made a plugin that gives a few more buttons to let people play with colors and, to a small degree, text sizes. Doesn't use drop-downs though: just another row of buttons.

So far I don't think anyone has integrated a WYSISYG editor into b2evolution that is (a) reliably installable and (b) provides xhtml-valid code.

On the other thread the one I played with briefly and was somewhat impressed with was the MS livewriter thing. It's an offline editor that gives you a little bit nicer playground.

If you want to do silly edition (aka WYIWYG) you can install the tinymce plugin. It works nice with b2evo.
